Mizzou Student Association of Environmental and Engineering Geology

  • About Us

We are a brand new student club of undergraduate and graduate students with the common goal to pursue the professional field of environmental, engineering, and geological work.

One of the biggest challenges for early-career scientists is the limited access to networking and professional development opportunities during school, both of which are essential for finding success in the job market after graduation.

In a time when “networking” often means clicking a button on LinkedIn, we saw the need for something more meaningful. The field of environmental and engineering geology is vast, and finding the right path can feel overwhelming without real guidance from those already in it.

The Mizzou AEG Student Chapter was founded to bridge that gap. We connect students directly with professionals who are passionate about sharing their experience and helping the next generation succeed. Our goal is to make in-person networking more accessible, more intentional, and more impactful, so students don’t just imagine their future in the field, they step confidently into it.

  • Why join us?

The AEG Mizzou Student Chapter isn’t just for geologists—it’s for anyone working in environmental or engineering fields who wants to build a strong, supportive, and practical professional foundation.

Think of us as a better, real-world version of LinkedIn. We connect you with a global network of professionals who are eager to share advice, open doors, and support your growth in the field.

We actively raise funds to help our members attend national meetings, pursue licensure, and access career-building opportunities without the financial burden. Plus, you’ll be joining a passionate student community that’s just as excited about the future of environmental and engineering geology as you are.
