The University of Missouri emphasizes the importance of creating engaged citizens who are prepared to serve and lead in an increasingly complex world. To advance this initiative, the Office of Leadership & Service will execute the 9/11 Day Service project in honor of 9/11 day and to embrace the commitment to civic and social responsibility. More than 30 million Americans and others participate, dedicating time each 9/11 to helping others in need, and rekindling the spirit of unity that brought Americans together in the days following the 9/11 tragedy.

The 9/11 Day National Day of Service service project will give you the opportunity to help assemble hundreds of food packs and hygiene packs for local community. This event will be hosted on September 10th in the first floor of the MU Student Center.

The Office of Student Engagement & Leadership strives for all its events to be inclusive, accessible events that enable all individuals, including individuals with disabilities, to engage fully. If you require reasonable accommodation to participate in this event, please contact saltatJ@missouri.edu by September 9, 2025.
