Are you interested in studying abroad and learning a language in the process? The Office of Global & National Fellowships is hosting an info session for the Critical Language Scholarship (CLS) on Sept. 27 from 2:30-3:30 pm in 122 Townsend Hall. CLS is a fully funded program sponsored by the U.S. Department of State that provides intensive overseas language and cultural immersion for U.S. students at any stage in their undergraduate or graduate careers. Students spend eight to 10 weeks abroad studying one of 14 critical languages and can earn academic credit for their work. Most languages offered by the CLS Program do not require applicants to have any previous experience studying critical languages! The program includes language instruction and structured cultural engagement experiences designed to promote rapid language gains.
