Details

Teaching assistants are often among the first people students turn to when they are struggling academically, emotionally, or personally. This workshop will introduce the campus offices and resources that support student success, including services for mental health, disability accommodations, academic support, student well-being, and concerning behavior. Participants will learn how to recognize situations that warrant a referral, understand the TA's role and responsibilities, and practice responding to common scenarios while maintaining appropriate boundaries. By the end of the session, participants will be better prepared to navigate difficult situations and to help students access the support they need.
