Session 1: What Is Grad School, and Is It for Me? ONLINE
Thinking about life after your bachelor’s degree? This session will help you understand what graduate school is, what your options are, and how to decide whether it might be the right next step for you.
You’ll learn about different types of graduate degrees, including master’s, specialist, and doctoral degrees. We’ll also talk about the kinds of careers that may require or benefit from graduate education, the difference between academic and professional graduate programs, how funding often works, and key questions to consider before applying.
This session is designed for undergraduate students at any stage who are curious about continuing their education after graduation. No prior knowledge about graduate school is needed.
While this session is designed with undergraduate students in mind, anyone interested in learning more about graduate school is welcome to attend.
This is Session 1 of the Grad School 101 Professional Development Series, a four-part series that walks students through the process of exploring, choosing, and applying to graduate programs.
