The Oak Ridge Institute for Science and Education (ORISE) connects the most talented and diverse college students, recent graduates, postdocs, and faculty to STEM internship and fellowship programs hosted by a wide variety of federal sponsors.

During this informational session, you will have the opportunity to learn more about the ORISE program. The session will include a broad overview of ORISE and highlight features of the ORISE experience that make our STEM internships and fellowships a best-in-class experience for our participants. Attendees will also learn more about how to apply to ORISE opportunities and tips for enhancing their application. There will also be designated time for questions and answers about the ORISE program.

Andrew Crain is an Associate Manager of STEM Workforce Development at ORISE. Andrew leads ORISE program management for several areas across the Department of Defense (DOD), including programs at the Air Force Institute of Technology, the Air Force Research Laboratory, and the US Army Medical Research Institute of Infectious Diseases (USAMRIID). Prior to ORISE, Andrew has held several roles in human resources and university career services. He holds a PhD from the University of Georgia’s McBee Institute of Higher Education and resides in Athens, GA.
