About Us

The purposes of IDIG are: 1) to provide information about the field of Infectious Disease to MU medical students; 2) to foster a community of individuals who show interest in Infectious Disease by facilitating relationships and networking; 3) to build connections with all fields relating to Infectious Disease, including internal medicine, tropical medicine, travel medicine, microbiology, public health, and global health; 4) to inform students about academic and career opportunities in Infectious Disease; 5) to provide events or activities to the university about various topics involving Infectious Disease; 6) to maintain a resource list on Infectious Disease; 7) to initiate a regular journal club to investigate emerging trends in the field of Infectious Disease.
