The Russian attack on Ukraine has severely disrupted harvesting, planting and the exports of crops since February 2022.  Join us for this presentation by Ukrainian international agricultural expert Svitlana Synkovska that will examine how the war has impacted farmers, traders and the countries that depend on Ukrainian grains. We also will consider the challenges and opportunities for rebuilding Ukrainian agriculture after the war.

Svitlana Synkovska is an agribusiness marketing, PR and research consultant with more than 15 years of experience working in Ukrainian agri media and international agribusiness marketing. She served for more than 10 years as a marketing director of APK-Inform, the most significant independent agri media company in Ukraine. From 2016–2019, Synkovska was co-founder and secretary general of the International Sunflower Oil Association, the leading international industry body responsible for the global promotion of sunflower oil. She is an industry influence and journalist, member of ESOMAR and IFAJ, and has produced more than 30 conferences in 10 countries.
