Mizzou Student Media consists of three student-run media outlets that offer hands-on experience in a supportive learning environment. Opportunities include writing, reporting, editing, audio and video production and editing, live radio, photography, graphic design, podcasting, website development, social media management, and more!
KCOU is a noncommercial station run entirely by University of Missouri students. The station serves as an outlet for the newest in music from numerous genres, the latest in campus/community news, Mizzou sports, programs devoted to many different forms of music otherwise ignored by most commercial radio stations in the Midwest, and – most importantly – the voice of students.
The Maneater is the University of Missouri's only student-led newspaper and has served as the student voice of Mizzou since 1955. Opportunities include writing articles about sports, arts & culture, news, and opinions for a digital platform, creating graphics, taking photos, producing audio and video pieces, data and investigative journalism, breaking news, and more.
The MSM Podcast Network is Mizzou Student Media’s newest outlet, dedicated to developing pieces of audio journalism by and for the Mizzou community. Opportunities for involvement include audio reporting and hosting podcast series, as well as editing, producing, and marketing podcast content.
