Mission Many academic majors at MU have their own student organizations, and the Department of Statistics would love to establish a dedicated club to bring our students together. By creating this organization, we hope to foster a sense of belonging for statistics students, especially since many pursue it as a second major or minor. Our goal is to help students take pride in their statistical studies while strengthening the department’s presence on campus. This club will serve as a space for students to connect, learn, and grow—whether through academic support, networking, or career development. We want to build a welcoming community where students can explore the real-world impact of statistics, gain valuable skills, and form lasting friendships with others who share their interests.
Membership BenefitsJoining the Mizzou Statistics Club means being part of something bigger—a network of students who support and inspire each other. Members will have access to exclusive networking opportunities with alumni and professionals, career development resources like resume workshops and job postings, and academic support through study groups and peer mentorship. We’ll also host hands-on learning experiences, from coding workshops to real-world data projects, so members can build practical skills that will set them apart. And of course, being part of the club is also about having fun! Social events and meetups will give students the chance to relax, connect, and build friendships that last beyond college. Whether you're majoring in statistics, minoring in it, or just curious about the field, this club is your space to explore, learn, and grow together.
