Mission
The purpose of our organization is to cultivate a dynamic community of student journalists committed to promoting excellence, integrity, and innovation in journalism. Our mission is to provide a platform where aspiring journalists can develop essential skills, explore the ethical dimensions of reporting, and actively engage with contemporary issues in journalism. Through mentorship, workshops, collaborative projects, and thought-provoking events, we aim to empower our members to become skilled, ethical, and socially responsible journalists.

Membership Benefits
Our campus chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists (SPJ) is keen to sponsor a diverse array of events and activities. These include workshops and training sessions on journalism skills, data analysis, and ethical dilemmas. Additionally, the chapter will host panel discussions and speaker series featuring media professionals and discussions on diversity, inclusion, and press freedom throughout the academic year. Networking events, mentorship opportunities, and media watch parties will be organized to foster connections among members. Members will also receive scholarships to attend regional and national SPJ conferences.
