Two options for U.S. citizens, green card holders, and F1/J1 visa holders with a resident alien tax status:
Assisted Self-File:
OFS tax-certified staff will be available to answer questions and assist taxpayers to self-prepare their tax returns using free IRS software. Space is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis. These are drop in hours. Please register to receive a list of documents to bring.

F1/J1 visa holders with Nonresident Alien tax status:
The NoRTH International Tax Clinic is an IRS VITA tax clinic operated by a non-profit organization unaffiliated with Mizzou. NoRTH has been helping international taxpayers complete their tax returns since 2012. Students, faculty, and staff are eligible to use the NoRTH VITA tax clinic.
NoRTH provides free tax services to individuals with a school, nonprofit, or government email address (.edu, .org., or .gov). Taxpayers must register for a free NoRTH membership to utilize their free tax prep and support services. NoRTH members receive access to free tax software, tools, guides, and video demos that are available on demand 24/7. NoRTH VITA tax preparers also provide individual support through email as well as through remote office hours sessions. VITA Tax Certification: All VITA/TCE volunteers who prepare returns must take and pass tax law training that meets or exceeds IRS standards.
