We're here to help you make sense of all the tax jargon. Join us to bust tax myths, clear up misconceptions, and help you build tax prep confidence.
In this workshop, we'll answer these questions and more so you can get ready for tax season, plan for your refund or tax bill, and avoid any extra fees:
- Do I really have to do taxes? (we'll also talk about when it's smart to file even if you don't have to!)
- Claiming Myself: Can I do that instead of my parents?
- Scholarships and Taxes: Do I have to pay anything on them?
- Forms Made Easy: Which ones do I need, and how do I get them?
- Free Tax Help: Where can I do my taxes without spending money?
Don't worry if taxes seem confusing now - we'll break it down together. Get ready to understand taxes without all the stress!
This workshop is relevant for both undergraduate and graduate students. The information we'll cover pertains to domestic students and international students with a resident alien tax status.
