Mission
Founded in 1852, Phi Mu is a women's organization dedicated to fostering personal growth, academic achievement, service to others, and a lifelong bond of sisterhood through cherished traditions. Rooted in values of excellence and vibrant living, Phi Mu inspires members to reach their fullest potential.

We are the Chi Chapter of Phi Mu Fraternity, proudly representing a rich legacy at the University of Missouri. Our chapter was brought to the university on May 31, 1913. As one of the first sororities established at Mizzou, our chapter has grown from its original 13 members to nearly 300 active women today, continuing a tradition of leadership, scholarship, and sisterhood that spans generations.

Through lifelong sisterhood, service, and leadership our members find their purpose and sense of belonging. Member's strengths and unique differences are utilized to make Phi Mu thrive as a very diverse sisterhood. Our collegiate chapters provide opportunities for members to try new experiences and develop their professional and leadership skills through elected and appointed positions. The friendships, connections, leadership opportunities, and professional interactions you experience through Phi Mu are transferable to any career or further education.
