Annual Requirements for the 2024-2025 Academic Year
Greetings, Public Health Club Executive Team!
I hope your summer is going well. Today, I received an email from the RSO office regarding the annual requirements for the 2024-2025 academic year (see below). I am sure you have received a similar email regarding these requirements. I wanted to reach out and let you know that I am here to help if needed. Also, in the past, there have been issues with me being notified by the system that there were documents to review. When you have completed a document that needs my review, please email me. This way, I can approve things without causing a delay.
Again, I hope you are all enjoying your summer. I'm here if the team needs anything.
Best,
Melissa
Time to Complete Annual Requirements for the 2024-2025 Academic Year!
Hello RSO Leaders & Advisors!
We hope your summer has been relaxing and fun so far. Before we know it, summer will be over, and your organization(s) will be recruiting new members and hosting events!
On July 1st (TODAY), all MU Engage portals belonging to Recognized Student Organizations (RSOs) will reset for annual requirements. This means it is time for RSO student officers to update their organization’s information for the 2024-2025 academic year. Please read below for more information:
- Annual Requirements will be open for Recognized Student Organizations (RSOs) to complete on July 1st at 8am. Instructions on how to start your process can be found here.
- To submit a re-registration request, an individual must be listed as an officer or have administrative privileges assigned through the Engage roster.
- This access can be granted by someone who already has that access to the organization’s portal (primary contact, advisor, etc.).
- The Organization Resource Group (ORG) may also grant this access. Please email us to make that change.
- The deadline to complete ALL aspects of Annual Requirements is October 11, 2024 at 11:59pm.
- To have a re-registration submission approved by ORG, RSOs primarily managed by the Organization Resource Group must upload a constitution that meets these requirements. Please note certain items need to be listed verbatim. Please pay close attention to the Constitution Checklist when reviewing the organization’s constitution. You may also reveiw our RSO Sample Constitution for inspiration.
- Finance Training will still be hosted in person or via Zoom to help alleviate the confusion that surrounds budget requests, as well as other on-campus funding opportunities.
- Additional MU Engage Help Tools - How to Navigate your Group Page, How to Create and Manage Events, How to Track Attendance, & CampusGroups Help Center.
- Advisor Responsibilities
- Ensure the correct advisor is listed on the organization’s Engage roster prior to submitting the re-registration form. If the person listed is no longer the organization’s advisor, edit who is listed as the “Faculty/Staff Advisor.”
- Advisors listed as the “Faculty/Staff Advisor” will be prompted to review the RSO’s re-registration submission and complete the Advisor Agreement. ADVISORS: Click here for directions on how to complete advisor tasks.
- After the organization submits a re-registration form, the organization’s advisor must review and approve the organization’s re-registration submission. Advisor’s will be prompted to review the submission via an email from MU Engage.
- Any re-registration requests submitted or approved prior to July 1, 2024, will not satisfy the annual requirement for the 2024-2025 academic year.
It’s important that all RSOs start the process to complete annual requirements as soon as possible in order to avoid losing recognition. Please let ORG know if you have any questions.
