More Than A Meal

The MU Housing Healthy Communities Committee is partnering with Tiger Pantry for More Than a Meal, a campus-wide food drive taking place November 5–19 in all MU Housing residence halls and apartments!

In recognition of National Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week, we’re collecting non-perishable food items to help support students, faculty, and staff who may need access to food resources.

🥫 How to Participate
Drop off non-perishable food items in your building's main lobby from November 5–19th. Some of the most-needed items include:
Canned goods
Cereal
Ramen noodles
Peanut butter
Other non-perishable food items

🐯 The Hall Competition Is On!
Each residence hall will work towards collecting cans to reach 30% of your building's occupancy. These numbers have been shared with your Hall Coordinators and they will send out specific numbers for your area. The first hall to reach its goal will win a Hot Cocoa Social! Help your hall cross the finish line by donating items and encouraging your neighbors to participate.

💛 Why It Matters
More Than a Meal is about more than collecting food. It’s an opportunity to support our campus community and raise awareness about food insecurity and homelessness.

All collected items will be donated to Tiger Pantry, Mizzou’s on-campus food pantry, which is available to students, faculty, and staff.
