Presentation of a 44 minutes documentary on Roberty Zurbano (Cuba, 1965), a prominent cultural and literary researcher and a leading activist and scholar on racial issues.

In his personal history, Zurbano guides us through his intellectual development and lucidly addresses racial issues. He reflects on the contributions blacks made in the building of the nation and on the opportunities provided by the 1959 Cuban revolution that did not effectively address racism. This testimony is enriched by hip-hop music by Obsesión.

Direction and production by Juanamaría Cordones-Cook

Following screening Zurbano will participate in a Q&A session with the public.
