Mission
The MU Saxophone Society fosters a diverse and inclusive community of musicians who share an interest in the saxophone. It supports the School of Music’s saxophone studio through educational resources and opportunities. Additionally, it provides performance opportunities for saxophonists across campus through the MU Saxophone Ensemble and other chamber music.

The organization also helps fund travel for students to participate in conferences and competitions. It promotes the saxophone on campus with performances and guest artist residencies and in our community by playing at schools, nursing homes, and local music events.
