Come celebrate this African-American holiday which is based around developing positive families and communities. Support local black owned businesses and help the community to celebrate Kwanzaa! There will be an expo featuring local black owned businesses, socializing, entertainment, and a holiday feast. Volunteers are needed to help set up, serve food, and help with cleanup.

Two to three people are needed to help with each area: set up, food service, and clean up. Volunteers will help pick up and carry tables and chairs, distribute food in a quick and sanitary manner, set everything needed for the event, and make sure everything is clean and everything is picked up after the event. Set up staff needs to show up about 45 minutes before start time to go over assignments/duties and begin setting up. Food staff would need to arrive around 5 minutes before start time to go over assignments/duties. Clean up staff would need to arrive 15 minutes before end time. Volunteers are able to perform more than one duty. For example the same person could work as set up staff, food staff, and clean up staff. Additionally, shifts are available upon request!

Volunteers will report to Jay Bradley. You can contact Jay via phone at 660-651-6040 or via email at jay.bradley@como.gov!
