Join us for the annual Zero Waste Showcase to help us improve our recycling and composting efforts on campus and learn more about how to be a zero-waste sustainable citizen! Including the following:

Clothing Swap
Clothing Donations will be collected across campus two weeks in advance, and donations will be set out in central campus for all students to come and take.

Trash Talk
Come join us for "Trash Talk" with Sustain Mizzou and small-scale waste audit. In addition to learning more about key sustainability efforts, student volunteers can help sort bags of waste/recycling and weigh and record the different types of materials. Waste audits help identify where we may need to focus communication efforts to educate students, faculty and staff on the reduce-reuse-recycle hierarchy and what can be recycled on campus. It also helps to improve the recycling process! We will provide gloves, safety glasses, and aprons. Volunteers are asked to commit to a 30 minute sorting shift.

-----
Zero Waste Week is a thematic series of programming on the topic of waste and waste reduction. From film screenings to field trips, speaker panels to campus clean-ups, Zero Waste Week provides students and the Mizzou community the opportunity to learn more about critical sustainability challenges while also actively working towards solutions.
Zero Waste Week is a collaboration between Sustain Mizzou, Campus Facilities, and the Center for Student Involvement and supported by a number of campus programs, schools, and departments.
