Mission The Columns Journal of Undergraduate Research aims to promote the sharing and dissemination of student led research and scholarship conducted by Undergraduate students at the University of Missouri. We strive to execute this through two distinct functions:1) Host biweekly meetings that encourage active engagement and discussions centered around Undergraduate research and scholarly work.2) Produce and publish an annual journal that highlights research and scholarship conducted by Undergraduate students across all disciplines on the Universities campus. The Columns Journal welcomes submissions from all fields of study, providing a platform for both scientific and creative scholarship. We intend to foster a community where all students can present their work, receive valuable feedback, and contribute to the dissemination of research at the University of Missouri.
Membership BenefitsMembers of The Columns Journal have the opportunity to engage in biweekly professional development seminars and workshops emphasizing interdisciplinary research at general body meetings. Examples of these events include presentations from professionals in industry and academia, creative and scholarly writing workshops, and internship recruitment seminars. Members may contribute to the annual interdisciplinary undergraduate research journal through numerous activities relevant to the development of a research journal including but not limited to peer review, editorial work, and journal management. Members will gain exposure to diverse research areas performed on campus and develop professional networks.
Will end at Graduation
