There are hundreds of researchers at Mizzou, each working on important and interesting research and creative projects. Besides googling websites, how do you find out about what all these people are studying? Let us introduce you to some of these folks! In this series of panel discussions, Exploring Research Communities @ Mizzou will bring together a small group of Mizzou faculty who work on a similar topic, but approach it from very different directions. Faculty will discuss their research topics and what students in their research groups might expect.

In our next panel, the unifying theme is 'at-risk youth,' and we will be joined by:

  • Dr. David Gozal, Medical School, research area: relationships between childhood sleep disorders and neurobehavioral, cardiovascular and metabolic disease
  • Dr. Hsun-Ta Hsu, Social Work, research area: health-related needs of homeless populations
  • Dr. Denis McCarthy, Psychology, research area: cognitive factors that influence alcohol use disorder, addictive behavior, and related problems (e.g., drinking and driving)
  • Dr. Wendy Reinke, Education, research area: prevention of disruptive behavior problems in children, teacher consultation, and school mental health

Join us using your Mizzou-authenticated Zoom account to join the session.
