We are incredibly fortunate to serve the Ronald McDonald House (RMH) of Mid-Missouri, located just 10 minutes from campus. You can find our members packing lunches and cooking dinners for the families at RMH each week. Every fall, we host Wafflepalooza, a late-night dinner featuring chicken, waffles, and countless toppings that draws hundreds of students and community members. In the spring, we host Diamond Week, which in the past has included pickleball or kickball tournaments, a late-night dinner, and other events such as pop-tab collections, a 5k, and more. Service is something that our chapter is extremely passionate about, and we are so thankful that serving a beneficiary like the Ronald McDonald House allows our philanthropy to be both hands-on and impactful.

At Alpha Delta Pi, you will find yourself surrounded by women who prioritize both academics and campus involvement. Outside of Greek life, our members can be found throughout campus. The American Constitution Society is a group of students, faculty, and staff who believe deeply in the importance of law as the mechanism which governs the relationships between and among the individuals and institutions that form our society, and we recognize the direct relationship between legal theory and the broader political debate about the kind of society in which we live.
In recent years, the view has been ascendant that the traditional values of compassion and respect for human dignity have little or no place in legal discourse. This view permeates all aspects of legal debate: academic scholarship, judicial interpretation, and debate about laws proposed for enactment. The cornerstone of this legal view is an approach to understanding the United States Constitution that is essentially devoid of concern for the way in which the law affects the lives of the people who make up the nation in which we live.
We believe, contrary to this conservative orthodoxy, that the law, and, in particular, the Constitution, serves human values. We believe that the Constitution is a charter of liberty, the blueprint for a noble and unique experiment designed to prevent the excesses of government in order to protect the human dignity necessary for individuals to realize the full potential of their lives. The goal of the Constitution, and the United States it created, is to permit people to succeed in the “pursuit of happiness,” one of the inalienable rights this nation explicitly was founded to secure to the American people.
We believe that the Constitution, and by extension, many other areas of American law, can be understood only by reference to principles of decency, reason, humanity and compassion. We believe that those who enforce the law must have concern for the way in which it affects the lives of the people who make up the nation in which we live. And we believe these principles should form a starting point for enactment, as well as interpretation, of the law.
The mission of the American Constitution Society is to harness these values of compassion and respect for each individual, and to re-incorporate them into American law and politics, in order to build a stronger and more decent national community. We seek to restore the fundamental principles of respect for human dignity, protection of individual rights and liberties, genuine equality, and access to justice to their rightful – and traditionally central – place in American law. Established in 2004, the MU Cambio Center leads research and outreach on Latines, immigrant integration, and communities undergoing demographic change. To understand processes of integration and support changing communities, the Center leads interdisciplinary research that spans fields as diverse as psychology, community development, economics, health, education, human development and family studies, history, language acquisition, and law. To ensure that research is useful to communities and their leaders, Cambio Center outreach efforts bring together academics and practitioners to discuss findings and exchange best practices. The Cambio Center advances this work both at the university and throughout the region by organizing the annual Cambio de Colores conference, the premiere conference on immigrant integration in new destination areas, and through its network of over 56 Faculty Fellows and 22 Student Fellows.

End Overdose is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization based in Los Angeles, California working to end drug-related overdose deaths through education, medical intervention, and public awareness. The Mizzou Chapter focuses on making overdose prevention and response resources accessible in person across our community. We organize outreach efforts, conduct comprehensive naloxone trainings and distributions, volunteer at local events, and build awareness among students and beyond.
