This two-hour drop-in event will invite Mizzou students, faculty, and staff to explore the range of tools available to make video gaming more accessible for people with disabilities. The Adaptive Gaming Program is made possible by the Occupational Therapy Department, Mizzou Rec, and the Disability Center. Our team (OT students and faculty, Mizzou Rec staff) will be on-hand to show people the myriad options available for adaptive gaming in a fun, inclusive environment. We will have gaming PCs and PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo consoles available, Team members will meet with attendees, discuss their gaming interests and needs, and play-test some popular devices. We won’t be doing full-blown evaluations during this time and may encourage interested attendees to come back for our regular “office hours.” The goals will be to learn and PLAY!

Sponsored by the Department of Occupational Therapy, Mizzou Rec, and MU Disability Center

We strive for all Disability Culture Month events to be inclusive, accessible events that enable all individuals, including individuals with disabilities, to engage fully. If you require reasonable accommodations in order to participate in this event, please contact the Disability Center at disabilitycenter@missouri.edu
