Dear Student Leaders,
Safety is a top priority at Mizzou. That’s why we’re excited to announce a new hazing prevention training opportunity for the entire campus community. This new training consists of three effective, evidence-based courses: ├óÔé¼┬»
- Hazing Prevention 101 provides techniques to recognize, prevent and report hazing, as well as recommendations for constructive development activities as alternatives to hazing.├óÔé¼┬»├óÔé¼┬»
- Hazing Prevention Fraternity & Sorority Edition├óÔé¼┬»provides scenarios and interactive content relevant to the experiences of fraternity and sorority members.├óÔé¼┬»├óÔé¼┬»
- Haze├óÔé¼┬»addresses the risks of alcohol and hazing and is a video-based course that follows a real-life hazing incident in 2004 at the University of Colorado.├óÔé¼┬»├óÔé¼┬»
These courses are available to all members of the University of Missouri community and can be accessed with your university login. Get started today!├óÔé¼┬»
Organizations and communities are stronger and experience greater trust and sense of belonging when their members can live and cooperate without the threat of hazing.
That's because hazing affects more than just the person being hazed. It’s traumatizing to entire organizations, families and communities.
By learning how to recognize, prevent and report hazing, you can help prevent that trauma. You might even save a life.
As leaders, you set the tone for this campus. Help your fellow Tigers confront the dangers of hazing and prevent it from taking root at Mizzou.├óÔé¼┬»
