Cultivating Healthy RSO Communities

The Organization Resource Group is dedicated to providing students and student organizations with the best resources to support their leaders. Here is a list of resources that can ensure the safety and well-being of your organization.

Empowered

The Empowered program provides students with skills to be empowered to get involved in situations where they can prevent, reduce, or respond to harm, including within student organizations. Become an Empowered Student Leader by completing the 20-minute introductory module on the Student Health & Well-Being Canvas page · Become an Empowered Student Org by Hosting an Empowered Training for your members

Prevent Hazing Mizzou

Hazing has no place at Mizzou. Hazing can show up in many ways—from actions that may seem minor or harmless to those that are clearly dangerous or even life-threatening. But even the less obvious behaviors can cause real harm. The Prevent Hazing website is your go-to resource to recognize, report, and prevent hazing as a student organization leader. Find training modules, request presentations, learn about Mizzou’s commitment to preventing hazing, and access the reporting process at PreventHazing.missouri.edu.

The 10 Signs of Healthy and Unhealthy Groups

It is important as a student leader to foster healthy group relationships in your organization. Learn about these traits and how to improve your group’s dynamics by reviewing the StopHazing 10 Signs Sheets and hosting a 10 Signs of Healthy & Unhealthy Groups training for your group.

On demand training from Student Health & Well-Being

If you’re looking to provide well-being resources or education to your members, Student Health & Well-Being is here for you. Their team is always happy to collaborate on and support student programming, in addition to offering signature programs on a variety of topics. Don’t see a topic you’re needing? Let them know so they can create something to meet your needs. Request a program here.

Well-Being Coaching

Well-Being Coaching is a non-clinical service offered in multiple sessions by the Wellness Resource Center’s trained staff. This can be a helpful resource for student leaders looking to improve their own well-being, or for those simply wanting to be able to refer their members to support they might need.  Schedule an appointment on their website.
