ORG UPDATE: New Reservations Manager Position

Hello RSO Leaders!

As many of you know, Presidents, Vice Presidents, and Treasurers of Recognized Student Organizations (RSOs) are able to utilize EMS and 25Live to reserve on campus spaces on behalf of the RSO. Together with the Office of Reservations & Events, we have created a position called “Reservations Manager” who can also reserve spaces on behalf of the RSO. This will allow additional student leaders within the RSO the ability to share reservation related responsibilities.

With this new position, there are a few guidelines that need to be taken into consideration.

1. Presidents, Vice Presidents, and Treasurers will still have the ability to make reservations on behalf of the student organization.
2. Only one person per RSO can be assigned to the Reservations Manager position.
   1. RSOs found to abuse this privilege will be put on reservation probation and will not be able to reserve space for a specific amount of time.
3. Due to software limitations, this position cannot be held concurrently with another position.
   1. E.g., An organization leader cannot hold the MU Engage position of “Treasurer” and “Reservation Manager” at the same time.
   2. If an RSO does not need this position, they do not need to appoint someone to it. The President, VP, and Treasurer can continue to be the only people who reserve space for your RSO.
4. RSOs are not able to reserve space on campus until they complete their annual requirements on Engage and are approved by ORG.
