Monthly general body meetings, which focus on cultural topics, activities, and have an emphasis on exposure to facets of Japanese culture that are often overlooked in the US. Along with general body meetings, there are social meetings, which are laid-back events with an emphasis on community and building lasting relationships between members. We also attend Mizzou-led cultural events throughout the year and announce them accordingly. Overall, we are passionate about creating a more accessible avenue to learn Japanese, maintain study groups, participate in the JLPT (Japanese Language Proficiency Test), and create a welcome environment for international students.

The SAE International Formula SAE program is an engineering design competition for

Mission
The MU Percussion Society was founded in 1996 to promote percussion
education and performance on the University of Missouri-Columbia campus. The
members of the MUPS are all musicians, primarily percussionists, and are
actively involved in the School of Music. By hosting world-famous percussionists
on campus, our members receive the unique opportunity to learn from these
musicians through performance and private study that is often only offered in
large cities. The MUPS often performs as a group in the Columbia public and
private schools to help foster percussion education beyond MU. The chapter is
actively involved in the national counterpart, the Percussive Arts Society, and
always encourages as many members as possible to attend the international
convention called PASIC (Percussive Arts Society International Convention).
We agree to abide by all regulations described in the Guidelines for Recognized
Student Organizations, all University policies, in addition to all federal, state, and
local laws.

Members of MUPS have the opportunity to work with world-renowned percussionists from across the globe both in-person and virtually. In addition to learning from and playing music with guests, MUPS members have numerous opportunities to perform around the community and be exposed to different styles of music from all around the world through our various percussion ensembles. Psi Chi is the International Honor Society in Psychology, founded in 1929 for the purposes of encouraging, stimulating, and maintaining excellence in scholarship, and advancing the science of psychology. Membership is open to graduate and undergraduate individuals who are making the study of psychology one of their major interests, and who meet the minimum qualifications. Psi Chi is a member of the Association of College Honor Societies and is an affiliate of the American Psychological Association (APA) and the Association for Psychological Science (APS).

Save a Child’s Heart at the University of Missouri (SACHMU) is an organization dedicated to supporting the lifesaving international work of the nonprofit Save a Child’s Heart (SACH). Our mission is to raise awareness of congenital and acquired heart disease in children worldwide, educate the campus community on global health disparities, advocate for access to pediatric cardiac care, and fundraise to support SACH’s efforts to provide free heart surgeries for children regardless of race, religion, gender, nationality, or financial status. We accomplish this through educational programming, campus events, philanthropy initiatives, volunteer opportunities, and partnerships with university and community organizations. Save a Child’s Heart at Mizzou is distinct from other service or health-related groups by focusing specifically on global pediatric cardiac care and direct support for SACH’s medical and humanitarian work.

The Letterpress Club is a student-led org dedicated to expanding interest and appreciation of letterpress printing, print design, and book arts in Mizzou. The goals of The Letterpress Club are to contribute to the national and international standing of the University of Missouri in the wider art and print community; to host programming and expanded educational opportunities for students and members of the art community in Columbia, MO; and to connect students with established printmakers, publishers, and artists by hosting lectures, collaborative projects, and hands-on workshops about letterpress printing.

To provide an organizational framework to promote the general principles of Young Americans for Freedom which were adopted in Sharon, Connecticut on September 11, 1960, as follows:

In this time of moral and political crises, it is the responsibility of the youth of America to affirm certain eternal truths. 

We, as young conservatives, believe: 

That foremost among the transcendent values is the individual's use of his God-given free will, whence derives his right to be free from the restrictions of arbitrary force; 

That liberty is indivisible, and that political freedom cannot long exist without economic freedom; 

That the purpose of government is to protect those freedoms through the preservation of internal order, the provision of national defense, and the administration of justice; 

That when government ventures beyond these rightful functions, it accumulates power, which tends to diminish order and liberty; 

That the Constitution of the United States is the best arrangement yet devised for empowering government to fulfill its proper role, while restraining it from the concentration and abuse of power; 

That the genius of the Constitution- the division of powers- is summed up in the clause that reserves primacy to the several states, or to the people, in those spheres not specifically delegated to the Federal government; 

That the market economy, allocating resources by the free play of supply and demand, is the single economic system compatible with the requirements of personal freedom and constitutional government, and that it is at the same time the most productive supplier of human needs; 

That when government interferes with the work of the market economy, it tends to reduce the moral and physical strength of the nation; that when it takes from one man to bestow on another, it diminishes the incentive of the first, the integrity of the second, and the moral autonomy of both; 

That we will be free only so long as the national sovereignty of the United States is secure; that history shows periods of freedom are rare, and can exist only when free citizens concertedly defend their rights against all enemies; 

That the forces of international Communism are, at present, the greatest single threat to these liberties; 

That the United States should stress victory over, rather than coexistence with, this menace; and 

That American foreign policy must be judged by this criterion: does it serve the just interests of the United States?

Young Americans for freedom here at Mizzou will help members connect with like-minded people and make a change by advancing political and social causes that connect to the described belief system. This organization will also provide support to members by connecting them to members across the county and will create connections for members to people that can help their causes and even provide future careers. There is currently no student organization to my knowledge affiliated with the Young Americans Foundation national organization. There is also no campus organization that holds, promotes, and advocates for traditional conservative and libertarian ideas. This organization will provide the campus with a safe space for dialogue about conservative political ideals. It will also provide the campus with potential opportunities to have greatly popular and successful speakers to expose the students and community to new ideas or more in-depth explanations for ideas.
