Mission
We, the black students of the University of Missouri, look to gain benefits inherent in the
organization of a government for the student, enhance not only the black community, but also the
entire University of Missouri community, through developing a lasting appreciation of social,
moral, intellectual and, especially, cultural values that will uplift black students and educate all
students in all aspects of student life, do hereby establish the Constitution for the Legion of
Black Collegians black student government of the University of Missouri.
