Our Inspiration

In Honor of Julia Drummond

Julia was diagnosed with cancer (acute lymphoblastic leukemia) when she was 3 years old. She went through years of treatment- chemotherapy, brain radiation, and weekly procedures. Today, Julia is cancer free!

Sadly, the word "cured" is not used in the pediatric cancer community. Relapse occurs in >20% of ALL patients, and the cancer is much more aggressive the second time. Aside from relapse concerns, over 95% of the children who survive their primary cancer suffer severe late effects due to the harsh adult treatments they endured. Late effects are often debilitating and sometimes lethal. The risk of late effects increases with time, so there is essentially no end to the nightmare. Julia deserves #MoreThan4.

In Memory of Brett Haubrich

Brett was diagnosed with cancer (anaplastic astrocytoma) when he was 11 years old. After 3 years of treatment, Brett passed away on January 10, 2018, at only 14 years old.

Every single day, 250 children die from cancer. Brett, and the countless other children that have lost their lives to cancer, deserves #MoreThan4.
