Paid Opportunities within the Well-Being Peers

  • Who gets paid?

    Once you have completed the CPE Training and feel confident in your understanding of the Well-Being Peers program, you can qualify for 2 of the paid Well-Being Peer Leadership positions. Leadership positions can expect to spend 8-12 hours at ABSOLUTE maximum per week completing these additional leadership duties. Preference in filling these roles will be given to those already within the Well-Being Peer program before outside applicants will be considered.

    These leadership positions will develop your skills further and provide you with deeper understanding of the inner workings of program development, student advocacy, and juggling multiple roles.
    The leadership team DOES NOT get paid for duties expected of all peers, ONLY for the duties that exceed baseline peer participation and are defined within their job description.

  • PEER COORDINATOR

    This position increases the potential impact of the Well-Being Peer group through strategic leadership of their peers, facilitating team and professional development, and time dedicated to extending the scope of the group. A successful candidate will have a passion for well-being, exceptional interpersonal skills, and a desire to help their peers succeed.

    SOME of the essential functions of this role include: assisting with planning and leading weekly meetings, sending a weekly newsletter to the group recapping meetings, planning team building activities and events for the group, as well as assess the need for, plan, and implement one larger event for the program per year.

  • OUTREACH COORDINATOR

    This position increases the potential impact of the Well-Being Peer group through recruitment of fellow students, strategic coordination of their peers, and time dedicated to extending the reach of the group across campus. A successful candidate will have a passion for well-being, exceptional interpersonal skills, and a desire to help their peers succeed.

    SOME of the essential functions of this role include: assist in the creation of recruitment and other group recognition materials, ensure appropriate staffing coordination for group events, actively engage with partners across campus to solicit educational presentation requests, as well as assess the need for, plan, and implement one larger event for the program per year.
